Former President Bujar Nishani dies

The former President of the Republic, Bujar Nishani, has passed away, after months of being seriously hospitalized in a hospital in Germany and passed away clinically without the possibility of recovery.

According to sources, it was the doctors who suggested euthanasia as a final solution and the equipment was removed.

Nishani's family has traveled to the European country, to give their consent.

The former head of state's health situation worsened after he was infected with COVID-19 two months ago. He was suffering from an autoimmune disease in the liver and failed to overcome the consequences that the infamous virus has left on the body.

Nishani was initially hospitalized in the Senatorium and after his initial rehabilitation, he returned to the hospital because post-COVID symptoms had left him with signs of pneumonia in his lungs.

His condition stabilized for a while. But then it got worse.

On April 23, he left for Germany for treatment and now there is no going back.

Bujar Nishani was born on September 29, 1966 and he took over the presidential mandate on July 24, 2012 and ended it on July 24, 2017.
