MP Mimi Kodheli was elected chair of the Socialist Parliamentary Group within the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, after a unanimous vote. The news was announced by her in a Facebook post.

KODHEL POSTING: I  thank all the members of the Socialist Group of the NATO Assembly, for the trust, support and unanimous vote in my election as Chair of the Socialist Group of this Assembly.

This is the first time that a representative of Albania chairs one of the 3 parliamentary groups within the NATO Assembly.

Kodheli was elected chair of the Socialist Parliamentary Group within the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, following a unanimous vote.

The focus of this session, which was scheduled to be held in Kiev, is discussing the situation in Ukraine, the concrete measures adopted by the Alliance and the response to Russian aggression.
