The Democratic Party parliamentary group, at least that part that is lined up with Enkelejd Alibeajn, deposited in the Assembly the request for the establishment of the commission for strategic investments.

The first request was dropped by the SP under the conference of chairmen on the grounds that it had been signed by 34 MPs, while it took 35 to pass.

The new application has been signed by 35 MPs. She was joined by The Basha and Enkelejd Alibeaj, while leaving the firms as head of the AAP, Agron Duke.

"The purpose of establishing the Commission of Inquiry is not the special targeting of any legitimate investor, but to highlight abuses of the law and to take measures to curb these negative, corruptive and clientelist phenomena," Alibeaj stated.

The head of the PD parliamentary group added that: "Public assets can never be spoiled for Eddie Rama's friends and family, and the task of the Assembly is to take measures to stop abuses with law enforcement for strategic investments and to extract responsibilities for anyone who has broken the law".

The government has declared strategic investors several businessmen and close to power, from the husband of Foreign Minister Olta Jaka and actor Gaz Paja on the beaches of the south of the country, to Shijaku Rescue at General's Beach.
