The MP of PDIU, Mesila Doda, has declared today that her party will compete alone in the local elections of 2023.

She said in an interview on "ABC News" that the best candidates are not those who will compete against Rama to win, but the candidates who know the city and the concerns of the citizens.

"These elections have a uniqueness. There are no more coalitions, they have been removed. There is no possibility to be in a coalition and be on separate lists. The PDIU will compete alone as it should according to the electoral code. This is our mission. The chairman of the party can have different meetings, but this is our decision-making.

We are forced to come up with a list which is the PDIU list. I still think that in these elections there should not be candidates against Edi Rama, but the best alternative for the citizens. They must be people who know the problems and these must be the candidates", said Doda.
