During the discussion on the CEC report for 2025, Damian Gjiknuri said that electronic voting is an instrument for which the government has expressed its readiness and can be implemented in cooperation with the opposition.

He further announced that the 'Electoral Commission' will announce the deadline for the next session as there are still several unresolved issues between the parties.

"The government has expressed its willingness to finance with a financial value of over 50 million euros to make voting electronic in Albania. If there is a will, we can implement it for the general elections. The electoral reform commission, I believe in the next session, will also request an extension of the deadline. It has done a relatively good job, but there have been difficulties in political communication. Let's postpone it for a few more months to address these few remaining things in the law on party financing and the electoral commission," said the MP.
