Rama speaks about Kurti: Our conversation is going well, if there were cameras in our meetings, the whole world would be surprised

Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his meeting with young people in Jalë, also spoke about his relationship with Prime Minister Albin Kurti and DUI leader Ali Ahmeti.

"I have had my red line from the beginning, I don't begrudge anyone who has their own home, Kosovo has its own institutions. There was a time when Kosovo was told what to do, there were brutal years that only brought damage. In cooperation with Macedonia, we had a table, I don't remember the year, I facilitated the meeting between them. It wasn't easy, for them to sit at the table, but it was their request, not my encouragement. When they came, they couldn't sit in the same room with each other.

I have a friendship that I do not deny with Ali Ahmeti, but no one can say with facts that I have entered the campaign, far from it. I have always been respectful.

"In the meantime, Kosovo does not depend on Albania, I meet Albin with pleasure because our conversation goes well, if there were cameras in our meetings, the whole world would be surprised. Fortunately, we have common goals, we have different methods ," said Rama.

Rama also spoke about relations with North Macedonia.

Rama said that "Albania has every interest in ensuring that relations between the two countries are harmonious," adding that great progress has been made.

"Albanians must be very careful, I am talking here about the region, they must be careful not to act like cows and kick the milk that has been collected with many sacrifices, where we are a state-forming population. Without an Albanian population, there is no North Macedonia, this is a reason to understand not the destructive capacity, but the need to have a harmonious coexistence with the Macedonians of North Macedonia. We are not in a situation where we should catch the drums of nationalism, and that we should beat the drums of 'who am I and who are you'. We must be grateful to all those who have made a contribution. We will continue to be forward to be like a wise lamb that drinks two mothers", said Rama.
