"It's not violence if your suit gets a little dirty" - MP Marjana Koçeku: I would be very honored if they threw eggs at me

MP Marjana Koçeku, who was invited to Euronews Albania yesterday evening, also commented on the incidents that occurred during the protest in front of Parliament last week, where several MPs were pelted with eggs by protesters.

Today, Koçek shared on social media the statement he made the night before on the "Now" show, where he wrote that it does not constitute violence if a costume gets a little dirty.

 " There's no harm in getting your costume a little dirty..." , says Koçek.

During yesterday's interview, the MP expressed that she would feel honored if protesters threw eggs at her. She said that citizens would not throw eggs at her as an individual, but at the MP's institution, while emphasizing that if there are citizens dissatisfied with her work, she invites them to express their dissatisfaction in this way as well.

"I, as an MP, would be very honored if they threw eggs at me. They would not throw eggs at me personally, but at the institution, the MP is an institution and the Parliament belongs to the citizens and not to us who have limited time."

"I believe that this is an expression of their freedom to express their disagreement with each MP. I even invite them, if they are dissatisfied with my work, to throw eggs at me. The egg is a symbol of protest and it is not violence at all, and it is not violence at all if the costume gets a little dirty," Koçek said during an interview last night for "Noë" on Euronews Albania.
