Democratic Party Leader Sali Berisha began his weekly speech this Monday with a minute of silence for the two little ones, who tragically lost their lives on Sunday.

During his speech, the leader of the DP consoled the families and citizens of Durrës for this great tragedy, while emphasizing that they suffered a trauma from a person, "the strongman of the neighborhood."

"Tonight I invite you to honor with a minute of silence the angels that the city of Durrës and their families accompanied to their final resting place. Let us console the families, let us console the city of Durrës, for the terrible trauma they suffered from the strongman of the neighborhood, a notorious criminal who, after taking their lives, left them in the clutches of death and fled. May the memory of the little ones of the city of Durrës who went to their final resting place tonight be unforgettable and may the earth's dust rest on these angels of Durrës ," said Berisha.

Focusing on the protest announced on May 8, Berisha said that it will not be a political protest at all, but a “revolt like never before.” The DP leader said that Friday's protest will be a protest dedicated to the conscience of Albanians.

"We gather today in this square on the eve of May 8, the date of our peaceful uprising. May 8 is the date of our great protest. It is the date of the revolt. But, the May 8 protest will be a protest like never before. The May 8 protest will not be a political protest. It will not be a protest of one or several parties. The May 8 protest will not be a protest for a cause. May 8 will be the awakening of the conscience of Albanians. It will be a protest for the dignity of Albanians. It will be a protest for the family, for our little ones, for their lives, security and future ," Berisha added.
