From detention, the president of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, welcomed the resolution of the International Union of Democracy, which condemned the politically motivated prosecutions, as evidenced, against Sali Berisha, Fatmir Mediu, and himself.

Through a reaction on the social network, Meta writes that the resolution denounces the obstruction that Edi Rama is putting on the country's path towards the European Union, through political pressure on prosecutors and judges.

He says that in our country "after you are arrested and found guilty as a terrorist in a 5-star cage, you begin to be tried."

" Deep gratitude to the International Democracy Union (IDU), the global organization of center-right and far-right parties, for its special attention to Albania and for adopting an important resolution, which reflects with realism and responsibility the grave situation and the deep political, institutional and democratic crisis in the country."

Thank you for your support for Albania's European integration, as well as for the clear denunciation of the obstacles that Edi Rama's Narcoregime has placed on this process, through the capture and criminalization of the state, electoral farces, and political persecution of the three main opposition leaders.

Special gratitude to the Albanian delegation, headed by the leader of the Democratic Party and the opposition, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha, for representing them at the IDU Forum, as well as for highlighting the "Meta" case as a scandalous example of a flagrant violation of fundamental freedoms, the presumption of innocence and the European Convention on Human Rights, which are embodied in criminal practice and unacceptable for a state of law, where two hours after you are kidnapped, arrested and after being "proclaimed guilty" as a terrorist in a "5-star" cage, then your "trial" begins , writes Meta.
