Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha was in Shkodër this Wednesday where he held a conversation with members and sympathizers of the opposition.

Berisha said that Prime Minister Edi Rama wants to shut him up by placing him under arrest, but he is wrong to do so.

"Today we are in a dictatorship, a state in which all power is concentrated in the hands of one man. He thinks that by placing Sali Berisha under arrest, he will be able to shut his mouth. Wrong, on the contrary! I pledge here that civil disobedience, regardless of what position he will take, will be the volcano that will overthrow this narco-dictatorship once and for all. This volcano cannot be anywhere else more powerful than in Shkodër. Shkodra has been in the most difficult times, the epicenter of human resistance for freedom, dignity and values. I have the greatest conviction that the citizens of Shkodra, the freedom-loving men and women of this city, will stand up strongly in civil disobedience and will make a historic contribution, as they did in the first dictatorship, in the overthrow of this dictatorship," said Berisha.
