The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha , has reacted after the decision of the Secretariat of Ethics to suspend him for 10 days and five other Democratic MPs for 60 days from the proceedings of the Assembly.
He described the decision as a sign of the majority's fear of the opposition.
During his speech, Berisha declared that despite these measures, the Democrats will not retreat from their mission and will continue to represent the interests of Albanian citizens.
Question: Mr. Berisha, today the Secretariat of Ethics, at the request of the Socialist Party, has decided to exclude you from the proceedings of the Assembly for 10 days and 5 other deputies of the Democratic Party for 60 days. Do you have a comment on this decision? Thank you.
Sali Berisha: Fear and terror from the opposition and Sali Berisha push them to make the most blind decisions.
But absolutely, we will be unwavering interpreters of the interests of Albanian citizens wherever we are.
Nothing can distract us from this commitment, this mission that we have.
