A 40-year-old man from Shijak, sentenced to over 7 years in prison in Italy for participating in a criminal organization and drug trafficking, has been extradited to the neighboring country.
This is Fatjan Stafa, alias Fatjan Dushku, who was sentenced by the Florence Court of Appeal to 7 years, 7 months and 12 days in prison for the criminal offenses of "Criminal Organization" and "Drug Trafficking".
According to the investigation, during the period March 2009–July 2013, Stafa, in collaboration with other Albanian citizens, trafficked cocaine from the Netherlands to Italy. He is suspected of acting as an intermediary between the parties, organizing the connection until the delivery of the narcotics to the distributors.
After extradition, the 40-year-old will serve the remainder of the sentence imposed by Italian justice in Italy.
