TIRANA / GJINOKASTËR - In a sensational TV appearance on Thursday night on the well-known show "Opsion" of the journalist Fendi Ballziu, the former minister of reconstruction and incineration Ahmet Arbenaj shed light once and for all and gave exhaustive answers to all the questions that have been circulating in the media for months , about his proverbial honesty and candor.
Asked tactfully by Ballziu if he had touched anything with the reconstruction funds from the earthquake, Arbenaj replied disgustedly: "Do n't you find it a bit difficult, Fendi? What are these questions? I never suck my fingers, because I work with gloves. The first condition of working in the government is not to leave fingerprints! You are also an old journalist". Ballziu felt ashamed of his naivety.
Asked if he gave Lilo Çepani the files of the incinerators to be used with selected targets against the government, the hardened socialist opened his heart and claimed that he had no idea what it was about.
But the most critical question was whether the Tall One had left him out of politics and no longer approached him, or even looked at him. Here Arbenaj, after adjusting his pants a little so that the torn sock was not visible, declared:
"I don't need others to look at me. I have been in the Socialist Government since we undertook to whitewash the work of the pyramid firms. Since then I took this geometric shape very passionately. Even when I worked as a tax director, I made pyramid shapes in the office with stacks of dollars. Then euros. I also really liked calling cards and rural telephony. I said to myself, we citizens talk comfortably, why not call these villagers too? Yes, the Tall One has been cheating ever since. I asked him to help me with the electoral campaign when I was running against Lul Basha in Tirana, and I lost. Understand? I lost with Lul, whom everyone calls Lul Humbasi. And yet, when the elections came again, I once again made Te Gjati a small pyramid on the table, so that he could run for me in Korça. I later taught this style - I jokingly called it Tiger's style - to Alda, the chief of staff, but as soon as she arranged the bundles of money one on top of the other, her stack collapsed. It was a bit woolly. Ehhh, who knows the sacrifices in this country, sir...".
In the end, Ahmet Arbenaj declared to Fendi Ballzi that no matter what the case, he was not afraid of justice.
"I am clean, and I am ready to appear before any judge. For example, since you work at the same television station, tell Ms. Eni and Arditi to go out this Sunday. The three of us are originally from Kakavija customs and we will get along..."
