Social media influencer Lil Tay has died at the age of 14.

The news was reported by foreign media that it was confirmed by a relative of the influencer, whose real name is Claire Hope.

He shared a post on Instagram saying that along with him, her 21-year-old brother, Jason Tian, has died.

The cause of the deaths is not known, but some media reports that it is suicide. Some time ago she had posted a text message on Instagram with the text "Hepl Me" amid claims that her older brother was exploiting her.

Lil Tay became famous on the internet about five years ago. But her videos were controversial because they used language of violence, insults, assaults on passers-by, extravagance performances and stings.

She appeared on "Good Morning America" alongside her mother to defend what she did, and was considered one of the rising stars with 3.3 million Instagram followers.
