British man says holidays are good for marriage


A British mother has told the unusual story of her holiday without the rest of the family.

According to the British newspaper The Sun, Louise Restivo spent four days of holiday alone in Albania, while her husband had taken leave from work and cared for three daughters.

She says solo vacations are the key to a successful marriage.

"I missed the girls, but the breakup was brilliant," she says.

She says the days away from her spouse has made her realise how much she misses her.

"It allowed me to appreciate Auggie pulling his weight at home with the kids and gave him the confidence to know he could parent them without me. Being away gave me time to miss him and think about him, absence makes my heart grow more loving."

The British woman says she has planned yet another "solo" holiday tour this time to Montenegro.
