The singer Ermal Meta has received a significant number of messages from various victims of sexual violence, immediately after reacting to the serious incident in Palermo, where a 19-year-old girl was gang-raped by 7 boys. A day ago, Meta took a stance on the incident on social networks, speaking strongly against the rapists. The stories shared by Ermal Meta are all anonymous, but one of them says: Dear Ermal, I was raped on December 26, 2000. After 23 years, I still can't confess to my husband, I'm ashamed.

Then there is the heartbreaking testimony of a woman who tells about her friend who, despite her beloved husband and daughter, could no longer bear the great pain left by the rape and one morning she hanged herself.

A woman who was raped by her uncle at the age of 5 said: I would like to tell those who talk, talk, talk that it is not easy to live with such trauma, to wash until the blood comes out of your skin because you feel dirty, it's horrible.

Among the comments on the post is that of the actress Elena Sofia Riçi, who writes: Your beautiful soul is not misunderstood. At the age of 12 I tried to defend myself with a drawing I had made, a colored sheet, against the abuse of a very large and highly esteemed gentleman, who knew my family well. I was able to talk about this only a few years ago. Marks that last forever.

Ermal Meta, after publishing many of the messages, wrote: It seems clear to me that strict laws are needed to make women who suffer from abuse and harassment feel able to report without any hesitation, disbelief and fear. If you want to crucify me for this, do not tire of cheering that I go up to the cross myself.
