As of 2022, Apple accounted for 7 of the 10 best-selling smartphones globally. What's new in 2023 is that this time, the phones from first to seventh on the list are exclusively iPhones.

Samsung was the only other company in the ranking, with three budget Galaxy A series devices.

Although it was introduced in 2022, the iPhone 14 was the best-selling phone in 2023, accounting for 3.9% of all smartphone shipments worldwide.

According to Counterpoint, the United States and China account for half of iPhone 14 shipments.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max and 14 Pro are ranked second and third, followed by the 2021 iPhone 13.

The 15 Pro Max model is the best-selling phone in the fourth quarter of 2023, which ranks fifth in the ranking, while the iPhone 15 Pro ranks sixth.

The last iPhone on the list is the vanilla 15 model, ranked seventh.

Samsung occupies the last three places with the Galaxy A14 5G, A04e and A14 4G models.

Counterpoint analysts predict a more diverse list of manufacturers in the top ten list for 2024, with at least one Chinese OEM and only 5G on the list.
