The sky during this evening is expected to give a spectacle to all those passionate about astronomy as the phenomenon of the meteor shower begins.

Unlike last year, experts say that this year, the conditions to see the "Perseid" meteor shower are perfect.

The Perseid meteor shower begins on July 17th and will remain visible until August 24th.

At its peak, we could see up to 100 meteors per hour, experts say.

As the name suggests, the meteor shower lies in the northern part of the constellation Perseus, near Andromeda.

Since the Perseids are fast, meteors can leave trails in the night sky, or appear as fireballs.
