Ilirjana and Altin Basha have just staged a rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar" which brought a troupe of actors to the stage of the National Theater who gave an electrifying performance on December 8.

Invited this afternoon to "Rudina", Ilirjana tells what it is like to work with her husband on the same project, the difficulties and challenges they have encountered in 20 years of cooperation and marriage.

Ilirjana Basha:  We met in the show where we worked together. We haven't been doing well at all, we've been very busy.

Rudina Magjistari:  I mean, love was born from fights. Opposites attract, as they say.

Ilirjana Basha:  Being both from the same field, although he is a director and I am a costume designer, we get along very well together. I know at the moment what demands he has as a director and he knows how far I can go and we complement each other. The difficulty is that he, being the closest to me, normally the first one to eat the screams is me and the first to admit it is to say wait a second now, it was not my fault for example, we have had many cases, small problems which are part of the work normally, but he says I have it easier with you than with the closest. There are difficulties, of course, but we are happy the way we are, that is, that we work together, that we get along together. The only difficulty I've had in all these 20 years since we had our 20th anniversary...

Rudina Magician:  Oh congratulations!

Ilirjana Basha:  It was because of the children, we were both parents who were absent at the same time, with extended schedules, it is not that one was at home with the children.

Rudina Magjistari:  How did you do it, how did you solve it?

Ilirjana Basha:  Having help from my mother who came from Pristina, she stayed with us for a long time to help us and with a nanny, then I had no other choice. Very difficult. Even the children have not had it easy not to have both parents, but on the other hand, he thinks that he does not know how it would have been different, to have a husband with a completely different profession.
