The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has stated that he enjoys more respect in Europe than any other leader in the region. According to him, he is respected even more than those leaders who claim to have made more progress on the road to European integration.

It is worth noting that Albania has been mentioned for the great progress in this aspect as Prime Minister Edi Rama aims for membership in 2030.

Vucic further said that unlike other countries, Serbia has no problem with the Kosovo issue and the approach it takes towards Russia. He added that he is respected by Europeans although, as he said, "sometimes it is not clear what they are doing".

"They respect me a lot and that's why we are pushing the European agenda forward and doing everything possible. But I know that there are certain limitations, I know the difficulties that we face, which are of a very objective nature, and these are related to Kosovo's independence, which I do not want to recognize, and to the breakdown of traditional relations with the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation, which I do not want to be a part of," Vucic told "TV Pink".

Speaking about the situation in Kosovo, Vucic claimed that the Serbian people in Kosovo "know how much they support them".

He has pledged that "even if all shops and institutions are closed, there will still be ways to give them salaries and other benefits".
