Volcanic stones from Pompeii

An unusual event has been recorded in Italy, where a tourist decided to return some stolen stones during her visit to the ancient city of Pompeii in Italy.

The woman received three volcanic stones, but when she returned them, she wrote a note saying the stones brought her bad luck for a year.

The woman's message was posted on social media by archaeologist Gabriel Zuchtriegel, writing " Dear anonymous visitor. The stones returned to Pompeii, now good luck in the future, or as we say in Italy 'in bocca a lupo'.

The woman's message along with the stones turned read:

"I didn't know about the bad luck.

I didn't know I shouldn't pick up rocks.

Within a year I came out with breast cancer. I'm a young, healthy woman and the doctors told me it was just "bad luck."

Please accept my forgiveness and these stones. Mi dispiace!".

This is not the first time tourists have returned stones taken from the city of Pompeii, along with messages that they have suffered the same bad luck. This has led to the spread of the word that the stones from the city that were burned by the volcano on August 24, 79, bring bad luck.
