The air force commanders of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark have signed a letter to create a unified Nordic air defense aimed at countering the growing threat from Russia.

The aim is to be able to operate together, on the basis of operational methods already known within NATO, as the armed forces of the 4 countries declared yesterday.

The decision to integrate the air force was prompted by Moscow's invasion of Ukraine, Danish air force commander Major General Jan Dam told Reuters, according to the news agency's website.
