US President Donald Trump told senior aides late Tuesday that he approved plans to attack Iran but has not yet given a final order to see if Tehran will abandon its nuclear program, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.
At a press conference earlier today, Trump said: "I like to make the final decision a second before the time comes, because things change."
Sakaq, Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, rejected the US request to surrender.
Earlier, Republican Senator Rand Paul told reporters that Donald Trump will need congressional approval to bomb Iran, Reuters reports.
"Let's say President Trump decides that he will bomb Iran. He will have to come to a joint session of Congress and ask for permission, and Congress will have to declare war on Iran. This is a war on Iran," said the young senator from Kentucky. "He will have to come and ask for permission. Otherwise, he would be acting in an unconstitutional way."
