United States President Donald Trump has spoken from the White House about the conflict between Iran and Israel.
Trump wondered if the US was getting closer to attacking Iranian nuclear facilities.
"You don't seriously think I'm going to answer that question?" Trump replied to the reporter.
"You don't know at all that I'm going to do it. You don't know. I might do it. I might not do it. But I'm not going to say it publicly," the US President said, adding that "nobody knows what I'm going to do."
Trump further noted that Iran has many problems and wants to negotiate, but perhaps it is too late now.
"And I said, why didn't you negotiate with me before all this death and destruction? Why didn't you go to negotiations? I said to people, why didn't you negotiate with me two weeks ago?" Trump said.
Trump stressed that there is a “big difference compared to a week ago” and that “they offered to come to the White House.” He added that “I don’t know how long this is going to take” and described Iran as “completely defenseless, with no air defense whatsoever.”
Commenting on his demand for “unconditional surrender,” he said: “It means it’s over. They had bad intentions.” Finally, he predicted developments next week – “maybe even sooner.” “We’ll see what happens. Nothing is over.”
