TIME reveals the 100 most influential figures in the world for 2026

The prestigious American magazine TIME has published its annual TIME100 list for 2026, revealing the names of the 100 people considered most influential in the world in fields such as politics, business, technology, sports, art and activism.

In the category of political leaders and global decision-makers, the list includes well-known names such as Pope Leo XIV, Chinese President Xi Jinping, US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Canadian Chancellor Mark Carney, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and the NATO Secretary General, among other figures who have played a key role in international developments over the past year.

In American politics and domestic governance, TIME includes figures such as Marco Rubio, Gavin Newsom, Mark Kelly, Susie Wiles, and Steve Witkoff, highlighting their influence on the political and institutional life of the United States.

In terms of business, technology and artificial intelligence, the list includes names such as Sundar Pichai, the head of Google, Dario and Daniela Amodei of Anthropic, Michael Dell, Neal Mohan, Sarah Friar, Jeremy Allaire and content creator MrBeast, whom TIME considers among the figures shaping the global economy and innovation.

In the science and health sector, researchers and innovators such as Reid Wiseman, Tony Tyson and Kiran Musunuru have been included, while in activism and civil rights the list includes names such as Shirin Ebadi, Dolores Huerta and Shannon Minter.

The world of arts and entertainment is represented by well-known actors and artists such as Zoe Saldaña, Dakota Johnson, Benicio Del Toro, Ben Stiller, Kate Hudson, Claire Danes, Ethan Hawke and Nikki Glaser. In music, part of the list are Luke Combs, Coco Jones, Jennie, Hilary Duff and Noah Kahan.

In sports, TIME has selected names such as Formula 1 driver Lando Norris, sprinter Noah Lyles, snowboarder Chloe Kim and golfer Scottie Scheffler, ranking them among the most influential athletes of the moment.

According to TIME, the person with the most appearances in the history of the list this year is Xi Jinping, who is included for the 14th time, more than any other figure on this year's ranking. Donald Trump follows with his eighth appearance on the list.

The magazine's editor-in-chief, Sam Jacobs, emphasized that the list is not based on popularity or fame, but on the concrete impact that individuals have exerted on global developments over the past year.
