On the occasion of April 8 International Roma Day, Prime Minister Talat Xhaferi sent a congratulatory message to the members of the Roma community in the country.

Also, Xhaferi said that April 8 is a day that we mark in your honor, dear fellow citizens of Rome, as well as all citizens, you are an inseparable part of this country and society.

According to him, this day is gratitude from the state, institutions, and your fellow citizens

"Dear citizens, members of the Roma community,

It is with great pleasure that I extend to you, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and in my own name, congratulations on the occasion of April 8, the International Day of the Romanians.

April 8 is a day that we mark in your honor, dear fellow citizens of Rome, because you, like all citizens, are an inseparable part of this state and society. You too, together with all the citizens, feel the good things, but also the difficult days and situations that life brings. Contribute what you can, strive to improve conditions in every sphere and dedicate yourself to securing a better future for our common country, for our society and for our future generations.

In this case, you give your unique and unique character, your charisma, your positivity and your courage. This day is gratitude from the state, institutions, your fellow citizens and society as a whole that you are also an essential part of this whole context.

As the Government, through the approved National Strategy for the Roma, which is part of public, state policies, we undertake measures in concrete areas to ensure the basis for your complete and true integration, because only then, when you yourself will be part of the system, you will be able to do the best, first for yourself, then for the whole society and the state. Education is the main thing here, which is the best investment in the growth and development of young people who are the future of the state and the world. Therefore, be wise, be persistent, step boldly and confidently toward the light that appears when the mind will be enlightened. Only then will your true and original potential, which stands out from all the others, come to light.

Our obligation as a state and state institutions is to be by your side every step forward.
