Montenegro seems to take a decision against Kosovo. The head of the delegation of this country in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Maja Vukičevič, has announced that she will vote against the admission of Kosovo to the important organization for human rights.

The member of the People's Democratic Party, a pro-Russian and pro-Serb political force in power in Montenegro together with the Europe Now Movement, says she has received the government's blessing for this. Vukičević adds that the vote for Kosovo in the Council of Europe would be "a direct stab in the back for fraternal and friendly Serbia".

"We may have replaced Milo Djukanovic, but the bad practices of his politics remained. I know there are those who believe that 'this is the way it should be', but the submissive mentality must always be defeated in every place. The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will not declare for the admission of Kosovo in this session, but whenever this issue is on the agenda, if I am part of the Montenegrin delegation, I will personally vote against this decision", said Maja Vukičevič.

This political force in Montenegro has also requested the withdrawal of the recognition of Kosovo's independence. It also has a very pro-Russia approach, pushing for the lifting of sanctions, but also against NATO.

But in the governance agreement, the party in question gave up raising these issues, but that is not the case. Meanwhile, Kosovo took the decision to register 24 hectares of land for the benefit of the Monastery of Deçan, as the last condition for membership in the Council of Europe.

On March 22, the extraordinary meeting of the Committee of the Council of Europe was held, while in April is the Parliamentary Assembly and at the end of May is the meeting of the Council of Ministers in the Council of Europe that will decide on Kosovo's membership.
