Netanyahu's message to the international community: Disarm Hamas, or...

Israel "still has work to do" in Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a graduation ceremony for officers' school students in southern Israel.

"If Hamas continues to blatantly violate the ceasefire, it will be subjected to powerful attacks like those of the two days ago and yesterday," he threatened.

"We decide and act whenever necessary to remove direct threats to our forces," Netanyahu added.

In this way, the Israeli prime minister responded to criticism that American restrictions have led to an inadequate response to Hamas' deadly attacks on IDF troops.

"At the end of the day, Hamas will be disarmed and Gaza will be demilitarized... If foreign powers do it, that will be good. If they don't, we will do it," Netanyahu said.

Along the same lines, IDF Chief of Staff General Eyal Zamir warned that the army is ready to return to fighting on every front and will use "much greater force" than in the last two years of the war.

"We will not show patience to any threat. We will trust an enemy who declares his intention to harm us and we will destroy him," Zamir said at the same ceremony.

"There will be no tolerance when the security of Israeli citizens is threatened. This is a principle that I intend to uphold. We operate in all areas and now, on high alert for any scale of operation that is required. In some areas, we will operate again with much greater force than in the last two years," he added.
