A mother has been reunited with her daughter after 27 years in Mexico.
Her mother, Lorena Ramirez, last saw Juana when she was just 3 years old (now called Rocio), after she was allegedly kidnapped by another family while standing in the park.
Lorena said she had prayed to God to reunite with her daughter until that moment came and they connected through social media.
From the images made public in the foreign media, it can be seen that mother and daughter can barely hold back tears as they meet for the first time.

"Every time Juana's birthday came, I prayed to God that she would be well and that he would give me the chance to see her again. Just imagine, I suffered terribly for 27 years. God gave us the opportunity to be together again. I couldn't believe it. When I opened the door I stopped and she walked in. That hug after 27 years… She looked at me and said 'you are my mother'. I answered 'yes, and you are my daughter'. 'Thank you for the opportunity to see each other again,' says Lorena.
30-year-old Rocie, married with 2 children, was allegedly kidnapped by another family in Bosque de Chapultepec, a large park in Mexico City on October 1, 1995.
The family that allegedly took the girl from her biological family gave her a new birthday – the day she was supposedly abducted, but Rocío told foreign media that she always knew the family were not her real relatives .
The Mirror reports that she left home when she was 17 to live with her husband.
Lorena had announced her daughter's disappearance on the Internet, while Rocie came across this announcement after a few years. The 30-year-old says that when she saw her baby photo next to the announcement, she suspected it could be her as she bore a lot of physical resemblance to her little boy.
"There was such a strong physical resemblance that I said to myself, 'I'm that girl,'" says Rocie.
However, as there were no contact details accompanying the photo, she forgot about it and 8 years passed from that moment.
"It took me another eight years before I decided to look for my family."
In the end, Rocio decided to launch a social media appeal to find her biological family and included a photo of herself when she was little.
Her appeal was quickly spotted by one of Lorena's other daughters. They started talking on social media and soon arranged for Rocio to be reunited with her mother.
The couple who allegedly kidnapped the girl were arrested by the authorities in March this year.
