Marco Rubio: Only traffickers benefit from mass immigration

The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, has expressed his concern about the consequences of mass immigration, linking this phenomenon to the increase in cases of human trafficking.

In a public statement, Rubio said that uncontrolled immigration is often not motivated by hope for a better life, but by criminal networks that profit from the suffering of people in need.

"We want to prevent mass migration because it gives impetus to human trafficking. In many cases, mass migration is human trafficking. There is nothing humanitarian, nothing compassionate about mass emigration. The only people who benefit from mass immigration are traffickers," Rubio declared.

The statement of the Secretary of State was also distributed by the American Embassy in Tirana, giving special weight to this message to the public opinion in Albania.

Rubio emphasized that the United States remains committed to the fight against trafficking and will work with international partners to curb this phenomenon.

This statement comes at a time when immigration remains a key topic in international politics and a challenge for many countries facing population exodus to more developed countries.
