Kremlin: Military mobilization is not over yet

The partial military mobilization, which includes thousands of reservists to fight against Ukraine, has not ended "for now", although many regions have already completed the process, the Kremlin said.

"At the moment, there is still no presidential decree" to end recruitment, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

These statements come a day after Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the closure of recruitment offices in the Russian capital, which had been open for almost a month.

Moscow's mayor had said the Russian capital had recruited its quota of men to fight in Ukraine after President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization on September 21.

This announcement caused great concern and caused tens of thousands of Russians to flee the country to avoid conscription.

Last week, Vladimir Putin said he expects the recruitment wave to end within two weeks.
