Coalition with Vetëvendosje? Memli Krasniqi shows red lines: We do not see the future the same way

With only two days left until the elections in Kosovo, the leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, showed his party's chances of winning the elections.

Invited to "Top Story", he also touched on a possible coalition with the Vetëvendosje Party, something he does not see as possible.

"First of all, the elections are not currently held. The number of undecided voters is greater than the distance between us and Vetëvendosje. The final result will be decided by that. I assure you that the Democratic Party is ready to the end and the path we have taken with our candidate for prime minister will be sufficient to gain the civic and popular trust to win these elections, because currently the number of undecided voters is 12-15%. We are in the race for the first place and to create the next government. I can never say that the relationship with the internationals should be the main point of decision-making to choose. In fact, this has not been part of our campaign at all.

Our request to citizens is to decide if they are living better today than they did four years ago. It's simple, if citizens are living better, if Kosovo families have greater well-being today than before Kurti came to power, they will vote for him again.

We have a candidate for prime minister who is better than the other candidates, he is more prepared, has more experience, has integrity, has professionalism, is a family man who understands the problems of the citizens of Kosovo, he is proven. He is a candidate who starts working from day one.

Second, we have a better team. Not only the list of candidates for MPs is extraordinary, but also the people.

The personalities on the list of the Democratic Party of Kosovo this year are new figures. 55% of the deputies are running for the first time, the second are people who have diplomatic experience, people who have lived in the Diaspora and want to contribute to Kosovo. There is no one on our list who has had legal troubles.

Coalition with Vetëvendosje? I do not set red lines for anyone, as they set red lines for Albanians. I do not set red lines for Vetëvendosje voters. There is no way that PDK will have a coalition with Vetëvendosje. We do not see life the same way, we do not see the future the same way, we do not see the role of the state the same way.

"We are not in a race for power, for the sake of power ," said Krasniqi.
