Qatar has said it reserves the right to respond directly and in accordance with international law after Iran targeted the US Al Udeid military base in Doha in response to a US attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.
Qatar's defense ministry said its air defenses successfully intercepted a missile attack targeting Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, adding that the attack caused no deaths or injuries.

Iran launched at least six ballistic missiles at the US military base at Al Udeid in Qatar. It is the largest military operations base in the Middle East, with about 10,000 troops.
It is also reported that missiles have been launched from Iran towards a US base in Iraq.
The US currently has military bases throughout the Middle East, including major installations at Al-Udeid (Qatar), the Naval Support Activity in Bahrain, Camp Arifjan and Camp Buehring (Kuwait), Al-Dhafra (United Arab Emirates), bases in Iraq (Al-Asad), small outposts in Syria (Al-Tanf), and presences in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Turkey.
