Israel claims to have struck Hezbollah targets in Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces claim to have struck military targets belonging to Hezbollah in Lebanon. The warplanes struck a number of targets inside the country, including a military compound and observation posts.

Hezbollah is an Iranian-backed militant group in Lebanon that has exchanged fire with Israel across the border since the conflict began earlier this month.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah met with senior Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad officials on Wednesday in their first reported meeting since the war began.

Such a meeting could signal coordination between the groups, as Hezbollah officials warned Israel against launching a ground offensive in Gaza.
