UAE "strongly condemns" Iranian attack on Qatar

The United Arab Emirates has also condemned Iran's attack on the Al Udeid air base in Qatar.

"The UAE condemns in the strongest terms the targeting of Al Udeid Air Base in the State of Qatar by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, considering it a blatant violation of Qatar's sovereignty and airspace, and a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter. The UAE affirms its categorical rejection of any attack that threatens the security of the State of Qatar and the region," a statement reported by WAM, the state news agency, said.

Earlier, Qatar also reacted strongly, saying that the country's sovereignty was violated and that they now have the right to respond. The US itself, whose base was under attack, but without consequences, has not yet reacted to Iran's attack.

As the New York Times reported, Iran coordinated with Qatar before the attack, and the Americans were aware hours before it happened.
