The United Arab Emirates' air defenses said today that they are responding to missile and drone threats from Iran.
In a brief statement, the ministry adds that "the sounds heard in scattered areas of the country are the result of air defense systems intercepting ballistic missiles and fighter jets intercepting drones and munitions left in the air."
This comes shortly after the United Arab Emirates said it had captured six Iranian missiles and 131 drones so far today.
A missile and six drones landed on its territory.
The United Arab Emirates has also issued a warning to residents of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, urging them to stay indoors and not go near windows. For those outside, to seek safe shelter as soon as possible.
