An exclusive investigation by Mise au Point (Focus) reveals that, since December 2020, Dick Marty has been placed under very high police protection, because he had been threatened with death by radical elements of Serbian intelligent services, Swiss media write.
According to Dick Marty, "the threat apparently comes from certain circles of Serbian intelligence services, which urged the world of crime, professional killers, to liquilate me simply to blame kosovars. As for the killers, they would be part of the "world of crime". "There are veterans who specialize in murder by order, orderly murder, and so it doesn't take much money to kill someone." A confidential source has informed Myrty of the following elements, according to a document from the Ministry of Home Affairs: "Dick Marty must be killed on the orders of the Serbian secret services.
The murder of Dick Marty was reportedly entrusted to Serbian men who have long carried out such missions for the Serbian secret service and who were trained by them as 'absolute professionals' who would possess the attack 'without leaving a trace'.
For the planned attack, a Serb is said to have smuggled weapons into Switzerland sometime in December 2020. To take advantage of the press's attention regarding Hashim Thaci's actuation, the murder must be presented as attributed to the Kosovo/Albanian government (former KLA), to discredit it internationally".
Kosovo's discredit
"In his country, Hashim Thaci is seen as the hero of the war of independence against Serbia. The political leader of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), the president of Kosovo, resigned from his post in November 2020 after being charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity by a special tribunal (KSC) in The Hague. He is currently imprisoned pending trial," the Swiss medium writes.
It all started sixteen months ago, reports Mise au Point, who was able to talk to Dick Marty at his home in Ticino.
"On December 18, 2020, I received a call from the police notifying me that I was threatened with death and telling me that I should be placed immediately in high police protection." FedPol considered that it is at risk of tier 5, which is the maximum and because of the risk of such a scale it offers to change its identity and address.
"Tier 5 for me was completely excluded," Dick Marty testifies. Thus, we have remained to this day in the very high degree: tier 4. It has never happened in Switzerland for anyone to stay so long on such a scale of danger."
Placed under tier 4 protection, Dick Marty and his wife welcomed "armed to the teeth" police at their home for four and a half months. Given that he is under surveillance, Ticino limits his contacts and communications to the maximum. "At the end of 2020 he sent me an encrypted message asking me to stop contacting him," confirms Franco Cavalli, a former Socialist national councillor who is also his friend.
"It's shocking to think that such a thing could happen in Switzerland."
Today the uniformed police are no longer on duty. But safeguards are still just as important. The house is full of cameras and equipped with alarms and a secure room, where Dick Marty must be housed in the event of an attack. Nearby is the police in civilian clothes.
