The deputy of the Assembly of Kosovo, Adem Hoxha, was physically attacked by a person during a rally in the village of Zlipotok in the municipality of Dragash.

In addition to Hoxha, his wife and 14-year-old minor daughter were also injured in the attack.

The Kosovo Police have confirmed that Hoxha appeared at the Family Medicine Center in Dragash to seek medical help on Friday around 18:30.

He had bodily injuries, then he was transferred to the Regional Hospital of Prizren. The police refer to the doctor's report that says that the member of the Kosovo Assembly suffered minor bodily injuries.

The suspect was taken into custody for 48 hours.

"In coordination with the caretaker prosecutor, the case "Light bodily injury" was initiated, while the suspect was detained by the prosecutor's decision for 48 hours," the announcement states.

Adem Hoxha is a member of the Assembly of Kosovo from the ranks of the Goran community.
