Danes petition to buy California from the US

In response to US President Donald Trump's idea to buy Greenland, a petition is being developed in Denmark for the European country to buy California from the United States.

The satirical petition has been signed by more than 200,000 Danes so far, and the whole story is supported by the words that Denmark needs "sun, palm trees and skates."

"We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we want to make this dream a reality. We will bring bike lanes, the rule of law, universal healthcare, and evidence-based politics to Hollywood," the petition states.

Upon arriving at the White House, the new US President Trump, in addition to purchasing Greenland, demanded that Canada become the 51st US state, that his country become the owner of the Panama Canal, demanded American ownership of Gaza, and renamed the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America.

The media previously reported on a heated telephone conversation between Donald Trump and Mette Frederiksen, the Prime Minister of Denmark, on the subject of Greenland, and Frederiksen repeatedly reiterated before and after that Greenland is not for sale and that, from the Danish government's perspective, it belongs to the people who live in Greenland.
