US sanctions Hague prosecutor who issued international arrest warrant for Netanyahu

The US Treasury Department has sanctioned the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, over his decision to file arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

Under the sanctions, any assets Khan has in the US have been frozen and he will be banned from entering the US.

The sanction was made by an executive order that US President Donald Trump signed last week ordering sanctions against the International Criminal Court.
