EU, another 1 billion euros for Ukraine

The European Commission will commit to providing 1 billion euros to support Ukraine and countries accepting refugees fleeing war caused by Russia's aggression, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Saturday.

"600 million will be sent to Ukraine, ukrainian authorities and partly to the United Nations," Ms. von der Leyen said at a fundraiser activity for Ukraine in Poland's Warsaw.

And 400m euros will go to frontline countries that are doing an extraordinary job and helping refugees fleeing," she said.
