Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in an interview with Grida Duma on Top Story on TCH, also commented on the statements of Richard Grenell, US President Donald Trump's envoy for Special Missions.
He said that there is a partnership between Kosovo and the United States of America, emphasizing that "we are friends despite misunderstandings."
Kurti: Kosovo's passport has never been the most powerful, we have liberalization except for the Schengen area, who received the largest American grant, our government, who is buying helicopters, anti-tank systems, our government. What could be worse?! It's a superficial observation.
Duma: Richard Grenell comes out and says Albin Kurti is lying, there has never been a worse moment in relations with the Biden and Trump administrations.
Kurti: These are not bad political relations, they are partnerships, before there was either hostility or servility, I am for normality, partnership is normality, we are friends despite misunderstandings, you can never be friends with someone if the prerequisite is to agree with everything all the time.
Duma: But not to not talk. You have no communication today.
Kurti: It's not true, I'm letting these oppositional scumbags, they go all the way to America to fight the Kurti government, this shows how weak they are and how strong I am. We have never had better partnership and alliance relations with the West than now, I want people to learn, I cannot have the same stance on the Republic of Kosovo and the Albanian nation as Brussels and Washington have, I have a more advanced one.
Duma: Is an isolated nation advanced?
Kurti: What about isolation, where do you see isolation?
Duma: You no longer have any recognition of Kosovo, the last one was from Israel, when LDK was in power.
Kurti: We are receiving more support from abroad now.
