A tragic event was recorded in Italy, where a 23-year-old mother killed her 5-year-old daughter and hid her crime by saying her daughter had been abducted.

The Carabinieri of Catania found the body of the little girl a few hundred meters away from the house where the woman lived with her ex-partner and the father of the child, Alessandro Nicodemo Del Pozzo, 24 years old. It was the pressure of investigators that made her mother unravel that she was the perpetrator of the macabre crime.

" 5-year-old Elena Del Pozzo was killed at home by her mother with a kitchen knife ", this was the bitter confirmation from the investigators during the press conference for the investigation of the crime that led to the arrest of her mother Martina Patti.

Many circumstances still remain unclear regarding the serious crime, but there is a hypothesis that has to do with the 23-year-old jealousy towards her ex-husband Alessandro Del Pozzo, and the closeness that Elena was showing about her father's new partner.
