Former Socialist MP Petro Koçi has commented on the recent clashes between Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

Using a sea metaphor to describe the situation within the Socialist Party, Koçi described the clash as a strong wave, which makes it difficult to move the ship, but which, according to him, does not risk sinking it. 

He emphasized that the greatest damage does not affect one party or the other, but the Socialist Party as a whole, especially in terms of morale and in the relationship with its supporters.

"It's a situation where there are waves, where the ship has difficulty maneuvering, going on its route, it's a serious collision. The greatest damage is in its entirety, rather than damage that affects one or the other party."
