The murder of Arlinda Zekaj in Kosovo was not, for Arjola Demir, simply another serious event that shocked public opinion.

It was a story that touched her in her own wounds, a human drama in which, as she herself confesses, she had recognized parts of her own life.

Invited to the Grida Duma Podcast, actress Arjola Demiri returns to one of the most difficult periods of her life, marriage and divorce, drawing a shocking parallel with Arlinda Zekaj's experiences.

She says that she has been through situations similar to what, according to her, Arlinda experienced, and that during the protests in Kosovo against her murder, she felt this story much closer than anyone else.

"I have felt Arlinda's story in my bones!", says Demiri, recalling the moments when aggression and tensions within a relationship can put a woman in the face of fear, insecurity, and the need to find a way out.

"I've been in Arlinda's shoes too! When blood runs hot...", she confesses, recalling the difficult clashes of the divorce period. Arjola Demiri says that she felt unappreciated and unsupported by the psychologist and social worker, who, according to her, turned against her at a moment when she was trying to protect herself and her children.

"The psychologist and the social worker turned against me! How can this be done to a mother?" is one of the strong questions the actress raises in this conversation.
