VanHorn: 270 American Chamber of Commerce companies generate nearly 25% of GDP in Albania

The United States Embassy in Tirana held a meeting on Wednesday with the American Chamber of Commerce in Albania, estimating that the 270 companies it represents generate nearly 25% of Albania's GDP.

"Representing 270 member companies that generate nearly 25 percent of Albania's GDP, the American Chamber of Commerce in Albania is an important bridge between American investors and Albania, as well as an engine for economic growth," the US Embassy in Tirana said in a statement.

US Charge d'Affaires Nancy VanHorn, at yesterday's meeting at the American Chamber, discussed strategies for increasing US exports and investments and creating a level playing field to attract more US businesses to Albania.
