Pensioners queue to receive "summer bonus"

A day after it was revealed as a recent decision taken by the government, Economy Minister Delina Ibrahimaj announced that so far 33,119 pensioners have withdrawn their summer bonus.

" The summer bonus has started to be distributed!

By 4:00 PM on the first day of distribution, 33,119 pensioners had withdrawn the summer bonus of 5,000 lek.

The bonus is being distributed along with the pension payment and will benefit 777,200 pensioners and beneficiaries of pension schemes and special financial treatments.

"This is the first bonus granted in the middle of the year, as part of the commitment to support pensioners and share the benefits of economic growth with citizens," Ibrahimaj writes.
