What do working pensioners benefit from? Monthly allowance and the self-employed

An additional 0.5 percent per month, or 6 percent for each year of work, benefits all those retirees who continue to be part of the labor market. The only condition they must fulfill is that during the time they are in employment they must withdraw only the salary, and at the moment of termination of the contract, the supplement is also applied.

This category, says lawyer Teuta Shkëmbi, is not excluded from contributions. The only ones who don't pay insurance are the self-employed.

There are about 17,000 elderly people who, even though they have reached retirement age, continue to work. Invited to the "Box to Box" show, Shkëmbi also touched on the new conditions that must be met in order to retire.

Since January of this year, the retirement age for men continues to be 65 years, while for women it has increased by 2 months, namely 61 years and 8 months. In addition, the insurance portfolio has also changed. Thus, in order to benefit from a full old-age pension, those who retire early must have no less than 38 years and 4 months.
