The government of Serbian President Vucic announced on December 8 that it is getting ready to intervene militarily with 1,000 Serbian special forces in the North of Kosovo. On December 8 late in the evening, the Serbian Minister "Governor of Kosovo", Petar Petkovic, held an extraordinary press conference to announce that the government has prepared the intervention of 1000 Serbian special forces in Kosovo.

Serbian President Vučić announced on the morning of December 9 that he slept all night last night together with the Minister of Defense and the Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Army regarding this new military intervention of Serbia in Kosovo. On December 9, Serbian war hysteria culminated with the statement of Serbian Prime Minister Ana Bernabič, who announced that "the country is on the brink of war".

Since September 2021, this is the fourth time that the Serbian president has threatened Kosovo with military intervention and war. But it is the first time that Belgrade announces that it will send a thousand special forces to occupy the North of Kosovo. The Serbian president and the Serbian government as justification for their new military intervention are waving the tattered flag of the dead UN resolution 1244, which has been officially and legally invalidated by the decision of the International Court of Justice in The Hague, which gave the verdict of the legality of independence of Kosovo in July 2010.

Meanwhile, in Tirana, they do not feel the pressure of Serbian aggression and the threat of a new Serbian war in Kosovo.
