Art transcends time

A double ascent of our prime minister to the top of Olympus:

Like Edi the painter and like Rama the politician.
An event.

An unrepeatable moment that will remain forever in my memory.

And, said by me, who have experienced a lot of driving, opened personal exhibitions, entered and exited European offices, it shows that it is not just the expression that Edi Rama often says "...I am the best painter of all prime ministers" but, for me, he is one of the 3 most passionate artists I have met around the world.

When I saw him feverishly building his exhibition in the Zappio, the most important building in Athens after the Acropolis, I waited to see if, from the high temperature that accompanied him through the depths, any blisters would have appeared on his lips.

But Monday, March 20, 2023, would have been incomplete only with the participation of Kyriakos Mitsotakis or Nikos Dendias in the opening of the expo. When I saw that people were flocking to enter, I noticed that, among them, there were also those who spread the Greek culture around the world.

Painters, sculptors, writers and poets, playwrights and actors took the reserved seats to experience an event that "politically troubled" Athens had missed, but that Katerina Koskina, the most famous curator of modern art that Greece has, was here brought as if to tell you that "Art transcends time"

However, I cannot leave this impression without two impressions from the political part of this visit.

I saw and heard him in the meetings and conversations with the president of Greece, the president of the parliament, the chamber of commerce as well as with Albanians who did not have the opportunity to come to the opening of the exhibition but who were waiting to meet Edi Rama at the hotel, I noticed combining art with politics and putting them in tune with each other and this caused the Greek, British and French media to send journalists and cameramen to document this double ascent: of the artist Edi and the politician Rama, on the peak of Olympus.
